I’ve always loved the dancing colours of opal, and fondly remember the vast amounts on show while walking around the streets of Melbourne and Sydney by day and night. This abstract of an Australian red boulder opal brought back all those fond memories to me. This painting is also textured to make those vibrant colours jump out even more.
